"Midi Sampler" transforms your device into a powerful tool for professional musicians, DJs, and composers, offering advanced capabilities including:
<ul>
<li>Creation of complete musical instruments from a single sampled sound</li>
<li>Receiving MIDI messages from an external MIDI keyboard to play corresponding notes</li>
<li>Transformation of any MIDI keyboard into a customized musical instrument or special effect</li>
</ul>
The application provides a straightforward user experience. Upon launch, users can immediately begin playing the default "GRAND PIANO" instrument or access additional sound samples by downloading them from the website www.ngcybit.it -> Samples Collection after selecting the "i" (info button) -> "SAMPLES" within the "midi Sampler" interface.
To create a new musical instrument:
<ol>
<li>Record a singular sound or special effect, e.g., "note: LA" or "note: A," using the recording feature in "midi Sampler," or produce it with any wave editor for Mac or PC such as Audacity.</li>
<li>Import the recorded or created sound in common audio formats supported by "midi Sampler," including WAV, MP3, CAF, M4A, and others, onto your device via iTunes synchronization or iTunes File Sharing.</li>
<li>Select the imported sound within the "midi Sampler" interface using the provided buttons to automatically generate a full scale of sounds across 8 octaves for your custom musical instrument.</li>
</ol>
The application further allows users to import songs from their iTunes library and extract specific sounds by adjusting the "SAMPLE START POSITION," effectively creating full musical instruments from selected samples. Control features like "SAMPLE ATTACK POSITION" enable precise sound manipulation during playback.
"Midi Sampler" offers extensive features such as:
<ul>
<li>Automatic scale generation from imported sounds over 8 octaves</li>
<li>Spacious sound archive for storing unlimited sounds ("Samples Archive")</li>
<li>Access to a variety of free sound samples within the "Samples Collection" including the "General MIDI samples" library</li>
<li>Dual independent multi-touch keyboards (24 + 24 keys) with octave control</li>
<li>MIDI messages reception from external MIDI keyboards / devices with octave control</li>
<li>MIDI IN messages filter</li>
<li>"Bending" control for real-time sound modification</li>
<li>AUDIO CUT FEATURE for precise sound editing by adjusting sample start positions</li>
<li>Sustain Pedal functionality</li>
<li>Multi-voice support (up to 96 voices)</li>
<li>Recording capabilities for capturing live performances and musical patterns using either the multi-touch keyboards or an external MIDI keyboard</li>
</ul>
